This is a fabulous resource! Thanks for posting it. I’m the Director of Communications for the “Politics of Trust,” an offshoot of the Vasconcellos Legacy Project, founded by retired California State Senator John Vasconcellos, the longest-serving legislator in CA state history.
Our goal is to bring new ethics and consciousness to our dismal, dysfunctional politics. We advocate for no specific issue; we believe that ALL of our issues are going nowhere fast because politics is broken. The general response to our gridlocked, corrupt political warfare is a weary cynicism. We want the Politics of Trust to offer an alternative to cynicism, an antidote. Because cynicism is surrender.
Right now we’re literally days away from launching our new website. (The URL will be http://politicsoftrust.nationbuilder.com.) We intend to build a community around the Politics of Trust, and to interact continuously with that growing community. Your provocative, practical ideas here are more than food for thought. They are a banquet. Thank you for this gift!
Allan, thanks for the kinds words (shameless plug graciously forgiven)

I know this if ooff topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog
and was curious what all is needed too get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not
100% certain. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Hi Bridgett – Actually the only thing I pay for is the hosting fee. I think the template I am using cost about $20, the background is a Creative Commons licensed photo from Flickr, and I did my own logo design using a piece of open source software called GIMP. If you have some design skills, making a blog need not be expensive. WordPress templates are really sophisticated now, and can be bought cheaply.
Thank you for the info.
In a blog post, Hazare expressed his views on Kashmir by saying that it was his “active conviction that Kashmir is an integral part of India” and that if required once again for service, he would remain “ready to take part in war against Pakistan.”
